Hi, I’m Claudia — licensed esthetician, lifelong beauty lover, and the woman behind Claudia Rae Skin Parlor.
I’ve been an esthetician since 2017, practicing in multiple states before eventually opening the doors to my own little corner of the world in 2023. Over the years, my work has changed quite a bit, but one thing about me never has: I need to know why.
I’ve always been someone who notices the smallest details. I pick up on patterns, ask a lot of questions, and rarely accept that something is happening “just because.” Naturally, that followed me straight into the treatment room.
When I look at someone’s skin, I’m interested in far more than what I can see that day. I want to know what it has been doing, what has changed, what you use at home, what your habits look like, what has worked before, what hasn’t, and all of the seemingly insignificant details in between. Sometimes the smallest detail tells the biggest story.
That curiosity has become the foundation of the way I practice esthetics. I’m not interested in chasing quick fixes or putting you through a revolving door of treatments. I’d rather understand your skin, build a thoughtful plan around it, and care for it consistently over time. Skin is personal, and I believe the way we care for it should be too.
A Few Pieces of Me
My life outside the treatment room has found its way into the Parlor more than I probably realized while creating it.
I’ve always been drawn to things with a little history behind them. Different eras, old photographs, art, music, interiors, beauty, objects that feel collected rather than simply bought. My taste wanders from everywhere.
Then there’s Florida.
Living there became an unexpectedly important chapter of my life. It was a place where I found more of myself professionally, & pieces of it never really left me it seems. The palms, the water of course, and that slightly dreamy feeling have snuck their way into these walls.
After moving back home from Florida, when it came time to create something of my own, I knew I didn’t want a space that felt clinical or interchangeable. I wanted somewhere that could hold both sides of what I love about this work: modern educated skincare & the timelessness & importance of simply being cared for.
The name Claudia Rae Skin Parlor, born from my love of vintage, Victorian, old-world things and the idea of the parlor itself: a place meant to be entered, settled into, & experienced.
Today, CRSP is an extension of the way I see both skin and the world around me. I like layers. I like details. I like understanding how all the little pieces came to be.
And I think the best work happens when you pay attention to them.
